Carnelian: the stone for releasing an

Hold on tight to a piece of carnelian and let your anger be released into the universe. This bright orange rock also screams creativity. Carnelian is known in some parts of the world as the "stone of life".




Carnelian is a variety of chalcedony, which is composed of microcrystalline quartz and microscopic fibers. It can be found in in many forms: botroidal, banded, mammillary, or stalactic. Carnelian is often found in veins, geodesic, and concretions. It is often referred to as carnelian agate. It's coloration comes the presence of iron oxide. The most common forms of carnelian are botryoidal, mammillary, and banded.


In ancient times carnelian was thought to still the blood and calm a temper. This is why even today we know that carnelian can calm anger, and that helps relieve emotional negativity and replaces it with love. It was also said to give its owner courage during a battle. Carnelian is the modern word for sardius, the stone which is mentioned in the bible many times, included in the breastplate of Aaron, the high priest.


Carnelian has many physical healing properties. It boosts fertility and stimulates sexuality, giving you a courage and strength in your sex drive. Carnelian also treats lower back problems, rheumatism, arthritis, neuralgia and can help with anxiety and depression. It regulates the kidneys, and accelerates healing in bones and ligaments. This stone just has some amazing healing powers. Carnelian is also a powerful healer when it comes to emotional realm. It can help with courage, rage, confidence, and inspire a joy in life!
